Hello friends!
I have literally been sitting at my laptop for about 4 hours trying to write a post for Blogtober today and I think I have reached the conclusion that it is not for me! 2018 me was definitely onto something there… Words are escaping me because contrary to popular belief I don’t actually have that much to say that hasn’t already been said.
So, 14 days in, 4 skipped days and a whole lot of posts posted, it’s time to call it quits. Blogging is my hobby, not my chore! Speaking of which, I have totally forgotten about my laundry. Anyway, I have literally no new thoughts to share today, but I have been brainstorming for some exciting things to come in the future. I want to indulge and not be vague but alas I am an online content creator and vagueness runs in our blood - so you’ll have to wait!
Before I say sayonara until friday - that series ain’t going anywhere - I just want to do a quick roundup of what I learned this blogtober. I have learned one simple lesson this month so far and it’s I don’t want to write everyday. Shocker. I’m actually shocked. For a long time I thought this is something I wanted to do full time. Something that I could do everyday until I die and be paid for it. Alas, I actually would prefer to work with other people and be a bit more social.
I’ve also come to the conclusion that this space is feeling a bit drab and might need a fresh coat of paint, but that’s all I’ll say for now. Thanks for indulging the everyday posts and sending thoughts and messages across the platforms. I have been only mildly disgruntled trying to bang out a post everyday. ANYWAY - here’s a round up of what they were and as always,
Blogtober Day 9 // I’ve heard sharing everything you can is a way to prove you’re a real person who struggles and is relatable, but did I say too much? Here's an opinion you didn't ask for from the oversharer.
Blogtober Day 6, 7 & 8 // Watched a video this morning by Rebecca Jane titled “what my anxiety looks like”. I totally get it and it snuggly fits into my lifelong search for irony and explains why I just can't be consistent.
Blogtober Day 4 // Welcome to Friday! I hope you’re enjoying all of the Blogtober posts so far. As always, I know it’s weir to go from one to two posts a week to one every single day for a whole month.
Blogtober Day 3 // Today we’re chatting all things bullet journal and the return of mine into my life for this autumn/winter season. We have so much coming up and I’ve found myself falling behind on organisation - enter, Bullet Journal.
Blogtober Day 2 // Yesterday we covered some updates from my mid-year goals and realised hey, these goal things actually work, so today is all about setting (and not forgetting) some end of year goals to hold me over ‘til the new year.
Blogtober Day 1 // Back in June, I wrote a post about mid-year goals. Well, slap my ass and call me whatever you want, because I actually stuck to them. Here's how I did!
Until next time,

As an anxious bean, I get a bit in my head about revelling in and sharing all the good things that go on. Since I’ve had a lot of big joys over the past few years and small joys every day, I thought I'd make this a small series. Let’s start with one REALLY BIG and one not-so-small moment.
It has been exactly two years to the date since my last post here. The big ‘ole panini really turned the whole world upside down and my world was no different. So let’s unpack the pandemic years once and for all.
Mid Autumn Festival approaches, and the time comes for me to shove an ungodly amount of mooncakes into my mouth. But, before we dive into the cosy autumn months, let's take a quick look at this past summer through the lens of food!
Blogtober Day 5 // Autumnal bucket-lists don't have to be all corn fields and horror movies! Today I'm sharing my London-centric autumn bucket list!
Today, James is on the blog talking about how speaking many languages is the key to the heart of our world.
George is on the blog today talking about what it's like to grow up biracial and monolingual. He shares his story about how growing up unable to speak Cantonese made him feel detached from his Hong Kong roots. This guest post is the second in a 4 part series, Being Bilingual, which aims to explore different perspectives on how language impacts our sense of self.
I booked in a portraiture shoot because I felt like I needed an extra boost of confidence to start my summer off right! Unfortunately, I had a mini moment of drama when my 22 year old grown up body was faced with a pair of shorts I had bought one too many moons ago. Let's talk about body image!
Blogtober Day End // I have literally been sitting at my laptop for about 4 hours trying to write a post for Blogtober today and I think I have reached the conclusion that it is not for me! Let's talk about that.
