How I Deal with Homesickness

Sometimes I get a little homesick so I sit in the lounge watching The Big Bang Theory and look at pictures of my dog, my favourite food, and the beautiful city that I grew up in. I never really allude to the fact that I miss home in words but I really do. 12 weeks is a very long time to be away and I try to keep myself as busy as possible so I'm not left thinking about home. I also realised I do a couple of other things subconsciously when it gets towards the end of term, so enjoy some pictures of my home accompanied by my ways of combatting homesickness.

I wear shorts in 15˚C because the slightest bit of sun is out and that's what I look like at home.

I order gyoza and ramen from Wagamamas and eat half so I can have the leftovers for lunch.

I work harder and take more on.

I look at apartments for rent online. Just for fun.

I talk to my friends from home more and we talk about what we're going to do when we see each other again. (And about all the sushi we're gonna eat.)
