iPhone Games | Summer Favourites
Hello friends!
It's time for my favourite series - iPhone Game favourites. Yes, I have once again found myself down the rabbit hole of app games and now that I'm battling a cold, lying in bed and playing these has kept me sane.
Order Up: To Go!
It's a cooking game, where you're the head chef of many restaurants across the world and you just cook! I love me a cooking game, and this one in particular is so simple and doesn't require an internet connection to play. You will need to download new restaurants before playing but once you've got them, you're good to go.
If you, like me, grew up playing Cooking Mama, this is a great on the go alternative. The gameplay is so simple, you just have to tap and cook. There are also special guests that like their food spiced a certain way (see: Vampire in the picture above). If you make their orders perfect you get a cheeky little spice tip! You can also hire helpers to help with certain tasks, they each have different skill levels, but I've found Ichiro is definitely an all-rounder.
The aim of the game is to complete your orders for the day and that's pretty much it! The more perfect orders you complete, the more money you get, and the higher your Yarp (it's like in-game Yelp) score gets.
This is definitely just one of those games that stays interesting for me because you can upgrade your kitchens, unlock new restaurants, and hire new chefs! All of which totally changes the dynamic of your restaurant and how you play.
Subway Surfers
So, I think you're starting to get that I'm a fan of arcade games.. and Subway Surfers is definitely one that I always go back to in the summertime because they regularly update the city that the game is set in!
This means that even though I pretty much maxed out my points multiplier (go me!) that every couple of weeks there's a new map to explore and new challenges along with it. There are new items to collect in each city, which help unlock a mystery prize.
The concept is pretty simple, you run through 3 lines of train tracks and try not to get caught by the policeman or hit by a train. Collect coins, deck yourself out with fancy items, rinse, and repeat!
That's all I've got this time because I honestly have just been revisiting the games from my Spring Favourites, and Travel Favourites.
Until next time friends,
